WHEN THE LORD JESUS said “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2), you could try to imagine how those mansions would be—what they’d look like—in shape, form, size, material quality and overall outlook as well as the landscape and the entire heavenly environment accommodating the lofty mansions. However, your imagination definitely would fail to capture the scope of reality in the context of heaven’s outlook. As a matter of fact, even the wildest imagination cannot match heaven’s reality at all because heaven’s extraordinary Architecture is the greatest master-piece that beats even the wildest imagination hands down—I think that’s even an understatement anyway. Eyes have not beheld anything like it anywhere before. So, the mind can’t even conceive it because it doesn’t have the capacity. Everything about heaven is so supernatural and since it’s beyond the natural, nothing (natural or artificial) on earth here can ever compare with anything there. And that’s what makes it extremely difficult to describe, imagine or comprehend. Only a glimpse of it would just be sufficient to extremely and entirely overwhelm you.
One of the verses of a song (Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand by Jennie Wilson) says:
“When your journey is completed,
If to God you have been true;
Fair and bright the home in glory
Your enraptured soul will view.”
Indeed, heaven is more than a sight to behold. It’s a place to abide in and it’s too splendid to miss! Please, make sure you don’t miss heaven no matter what it takes. Whatever you have to surrender—your life, heart, sins, evil/bad habits/lifestyle etc—and whatever you have to obtain—God’s grace, mercy, strength, holiness, willingness to obey and follow on, etc—please do for heaven’s sake. It was not in vain or for fun that Jesus said “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Mat.6:33). He also said “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” (Luke 13:24). He neither minced words nor joked at all. Whatsoever person (you or I) that misses heaven will cry endlessly in hell forever and ever without any remedy. “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev. 14:11; 20:10).
The wise—only the wise—will hearken to what Jesus said: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” (Rev. 2:7). Unfortunately, many are repenting every day in hell but it’s just too late! Repent now before it becomes too late!
